Born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden, this Swedish-Gambian beauty now calls London her home. Initially planning to become a pro-basketball player, she changed direction to pursue a career both as a singer/songwriter and a model. Being featured on a variety of publications, even covers, in the early stages of her modelling career, she mesmerized many with her appearance.

For Lisa the apple did not fall far from the tree, with her grandfather Demba Conta being called ‘The Singing Prince’ in Gambia, and her father Eddie Conta, being famous musicians in their own right. It makes more than sense for Lisa to be surrounded by music when she grew up, and eventually joining the school choir at the age of 10. Throughout her teens, she started developing her own sound, inspired by a wide variety of R&B icons as Brandy, Whitney Houston and Aaliyah.

Lisa has been featured in highly respected publications as Wonderland, British Vogue and Elle, and not to forget gracing the covers of magazines like The Guardian´s Observer alongside Chloe x Halle and more.

Alongside her modelling career Lisa is spending quite some time in the studio, with some of the world’s discovered and undiscovered gems in producing, and music in general to record her first EP. With eyes on here from some heavyweights in music, she has a bright career in music ahead as well.

Busy Bee Lisa has been on lightning speed in 2021, focusing on the release of her first EP and many exciting collaborations. Question is, if you’re ready for this heat…
